Bright Evening at Ca baret-by-the~Sea
Many lovely gowns were worn at Dixieland on Saturday evening, when a large number of dancers spent a happy evening at the cabaret-by-the-sea.
Mr. Harry Neilson and his Dixieland Band were in their usual good form, and supplied a bright programme of dance tunes. AMONG THE DANCERS Mrs. Frank Macks* was wearing an uneven-length georgette gown of pale primrose. Mrs. Colin Taylor, Hamilton, wore a wown of water-nymph green taffeta and net. Airs. R. B. Davies chose a pale daffodil yellow taffeta gown relieved with silver. Airs. Roy Bridgeman’s gown of Ivory georgette was embroidered with silver beads. Mrs. Burdett’s gown was of lacquer red chenille embossed georgette. Airs. Litchfield was in phlox pink chiffon and silver lace. Aliss Rosemary Waller chose a bouffant frock of blue taffeta embossed in silver with shadow hem of tulle. Aliss Alonckton, Hamilton, was wearing a gown of green flowered chiffon. Aliss AlcCullough chose a smart frock of lacquer red lace. Aliss Anita Webster was wearing a gold seouined gown. Aliss Bab.s Challis had on a pink satin frock appliqued in blue. Aliss Gwen Challis had on a pretty frock of shj-irap pink georgette. Aliss Robinson was froeked in pale green satin, with diamente relief. Aliss Friedlander’s patterned chiffon frock was of oyster and apple green. Miss Lush was in cherry frilled chiffon, with relief of brilliants. The petalled hem of Aliss G. Graliame’s gown of black satin beaute was defined with jade green. Miss G. Saxon wore a bouffant gown of pale marigold taffeta. Aliss Jean Cummings chose a frock of black lace. Aliss R. Hammond's ankle-length gown of black taffeta was distinguished by a lace corsage. Aliss AI. Wright was in an uneveslength frock of rose chiffon. Aliss W. Phillips wore black lace over palest pink georgette. Aliss B. Symons chose a taffeta gown of deep amethyst shade. Aliss M. Cameron's frock was of silver lame and larkspur blue chenille embossed georgette. Aliss McKenzie’s pretty jade green frock was of taffeta. Miss Bainbridge chose larkspur blue taffeta relieved with pink. Aliss Rita Henley’s gown of black crepe de sole was relieved with touches of pink. Miss Audrey Lawrence was in a black chiffon gown mounted on silver lame. Miss Fay Alexander chose a pale rosecoloured chiffon frock. Aliss _ Ailsa Lewis was wearing an attractive frock of water green and lilac flowered chiffon. Aliss Olive Monks was in an ivory taffeta frock relieved with leaf green. Aliss Olga McDuff chose nymph green flounced taffeta. Aliss Duncan chose a flowered taffeta frock of bright leaf green. Aliss Jean Davidson chose a chrome yellow patterned chiffon frock.
Aliss Nance Forte was wearing a "own of ivory mariette with tiered *skirt dipping to the ankles and the back.
