ALPINE SPORTS CLUB HOLDS FIRST SOCIAL EVENING OF THE YEAR
ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME
A delightful evening was spent at “The Baliroom,” Omahu Road, Remuera, last week, when the members of the Alpine Sports Club held their first social meeting this year. Miss Yolande Orbell was hostess and organiser. Miss Gladys McAneny gave a delightful resume of her trip on the Milford Track. Mr. W. L. Thomson, on behalf of Professor Algie, who was unable to be present, read a' lecturette, “Some Useful Points on Mountaineering Technicalities.” Musical and humorous items were given by Miss D. Misser, Miss V. Middleton, Mr. R. McGregor and Mr. J. Ramsay. Dancing brought, the evening to a close at midnight. Among those present were:—Miss Yolande Orbell, Mrs. R. M. Algie, Miss E. K.
