GREENHITHE BRANCH A very pleasing gathering in connection with the Greenhithe Women’s Institute for the month of February took place at Tauhinu Park, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin, on Wednesday, February 19, when Miss Vera Ziman gave a very interesting lecture on her travels through Palestine. Members from the Albany and Hobsonville Institutes were also present, the attendance numbering about SO people. The beautiful grounds of the host and hostess were thrown open, and after lunch the members wandered through shady glades and along winding paths until the reached the “Devil’s Back.” when a magnificent view of the hnrhour and surrounding conntrv was obtained. Tea was served by Mrs. Irwin and Mrs. Newman, and nil felt the afternoon had been well spent. GLEN AFTOX AND PITKEMIRO The birthday meetimr of the Glen Afton and Pukemiro Women’s .Institute was held on Thursday last and was well attended. After various business items had been dealt with a musical programme was given. Miss Z. Cameron. Miss Milnes and Mrs. Troughear sang, and games followed. The retiring secretary and president were hostesses. .
