HARD LABOUR TERM
ENDORSEMENT OF A CHEQUE
A sentence of six months’ hard labour was imposed by Mr. Justice Herdman. in the Supreme Court today, on Frederick Jackson, who had admitted forging an endorsement of a cheque. The prisoner was not represented Dy counsel.
The Judge remarked that the prisoner had been convicted twice previously, although, according to the Probation Officer, some time had elapsed since his last offence.
