TRANSPORT DEAL
BLUE BUSES JOIN SHORE FLEET SALE ANNOUNCED From Alonday next the North Shore Transport Company, Limited, will take over the Devonport-North Devonport service, known as the Blue Bus Service, which has been operated by Alessrs. Glassey Bros., the negotiations being finalised during the week-end. With seven buses taken over from the Blue Bus Service, and the recentlyacquired Brown’s Bay service, the North Shore Transport Company will operate 51 buses. Air. W. H. Taylor, manager of the Transport Company, is to attend the conference. of motor interests convened by the Alinistry of Transport, and until his return the Blue Buses will operate as hitherto.
Thereafter North Devonport residents will have the use of all buses plying to and from Alilford. Under the present conditions the Alilford buses could not lift passengers inside the Devonport boundary. -
