ORDER OF GOOD TEMPLARS

There was a good attendance of members at a meeting on Wednesday evening of the Endeavour Lodge of the International Order of Good Templars. One candidate was initiated during the proceedings. The assemblage was given an instructive address by the Rev. G. Jackson on the far-reaching effect of alcohol on the race. The speaker expressed pleasure that the order was attracting so many young folk, and emphasised the need for moral courage and strength of purpose in those, who dedicated their lives to any constructive reform.
