ANKLE-LENGTH GOWN OF SATIN AND NET

CUMMINS—CASTLE St.- David’s Church, Khyber Pass, was die scene of the wadding of Alice Alorton, third daughter of Mr. and Airs. A. Castle, Seddon Terrace, Otahuhu, to John Roberts, third spn of Mr. and Airs. T. Cummins, Clevedon Road, Otahuhu. The Rev. D C Herron performed the ceremony The bride wore a gown of ivorv satin beaute, with a finely tucked silk net overdress, which fell to the ankles. The veil, which was worked with silk sprays and lace medallions, was held with a coronet of orange blossoms and lily-of-the-valley sprays. A bridal bouquet was carried. The bridesmaids, Miss Frpda Skelte.rn, and Aliss Winnie Cas'tle, were in taffeta frocks, their fichu collars being edged with silver lace and flowers, and the skirts had uneven hemlines. Their head-dresses of silver tinsel were caught at one side of the head with a flat flower to tone. The former was in a sunset shade, and carried a bouquet of golden and autumn-tinted flowers, while the latter wore ciel blue, and carried a bouquet of blue flowers. Aliss Iris Castle, the little flowergirl, was in pale pink crepe de chine, with circular ruchings of ribbon, and ! floral head-dress. She carried a basket of pink roses and blue delphiniums. The best man was Air. S. AI. Cum- i mins, and the groomsman Air Robert Castle. The reception was held at the Domain Tea Kiosk, where the bride’s mother received the guests wearing a figured navy satin frock, with fawn and navy bankok hat. She carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Airs. T. Cummins, mother of the bridegroom, wore apricot-tinted satin radiante, with beige hat. Dancing was afterward indulged in, to music by the Jazz Bandits. The bride travelled in a frock of blue satin beaute, with a blue crinoline hat, and beige wool crepe de chine coat.
