OHAKUNE WEDDING
BRIDE CARRIES SHEAF OF LILIES ADAMS—GOWER A pretty wedding was recently celebrated at tlio St. John’s Anglican Church. Ohakune, when Irene Margaret. elder daughter of Mr. and Airs. H. W. Gower, Rakes Road, Ohakune, was married to Edward Howard, second son of Dr. and Airs. C. E. Adams, of Oriental Bay, Wellington. The Rev. Air. Barnes officiated and Aliss Clemett presided at the organ. The church had been decorated with pink roses, birch and lilies by girl friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory satin, her tulle veil being fastened to the head with orange blossoms and silver leaves. She carried a beautiful sheaf of white lilies. Aliss Maisie Adams and Aliss Cathleen Green wore pretty frocks of applegreen georgette with gold girdles and gold shoes. They wore green picture hats and each carried a bouquet of roses. The two little flower girls were Miss Maisie Gaiven and Aliss Esmo Pearson, whose Greenaway frocks wore of pink organdie. They carried posies of pink roses and blue delphiniums. The reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. To receive her guests. Airs. Gower wore a frock of beige georgette and lace with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of crimson dahlias. Mrs. Adams was in a gown of black georgette with georgette coat. Her black hat was trimmed with ecru lace and she carried a bouquet of lemon dahlias and birch. The young couple left for the South, the bride wearing a nile green frock with hat to match, and grey fur coat.
