SURPRISE PARTY
A delightful surprise party was given for the Misses Morton on Thursday evening in the Orpheum Theatre, Onehunga, by Mrs. G. T. Puddle and Miss Edna Bridgens. The guests were entertained with dancing and games. Mrs. Puddle received the guests wearing a gown of black satin relieved with diamente, and Miss Bridgens had on ivory georgette and tulle. Miss Morton’s frock was of honey beige georgette and lace. Miss M. Morton was in a flame crepe de chine gown, and Miss Edith Morton chos« sea green beaded georgette. Among the guests were: Mrs. R. Barnes, who wore duchess blue georgette; Mrs. S. Kirby, cyclamen crepe de chine, silver trimmings; Mrs. N. S. Bougher, lovebird green crepe de chine; Mrs. G. Kirby, petunia crepe de chine; Miss N. Goode, lido blue georgette and silver; Miss M. Herrick, cherry taffeta; Miss M. Hamblyn, shell pink georgette; Miss E. Gay, cherry satin and georgette; Miss E. Smith, black ring velvet, with silver flower; Miss K. Gay, ivory crepe de chine and georgette; Miss F. Somers, gold lace and tissue. Miss L. McNaughton, who had on powder blue satin beaute; Miss E. .Shaw, in silver tissue, uneven hem; Miss L. Studman, eau de nil georgette; Miss V. Edwards, crushed rose ring velvet; Miss K. Taylor, mauve taffeta and- silver lace; Miss L. McGuire, ivory ring velvet; Miss H. Cole, lilac crepe de chine; Miss P. Roberts, midnight blue georgette and silk net; Miss Harris, ivory charmeuse and georgette; Miss G. White, salmon pink satin beaute; Miss Mclntosh, blue lace with cerise sash.
