Buyers and Brokers Settle Wool Dispute

SALES TO BE COMBINED GENERAL EXPLANATION Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The dispute between the wool buyers and the wool brokers has been settled as the result of a conference concluded in Christchurch last evening. A joint statement issued states:— “The brokers wish to emphasise the point that the statements made that the buyers were endeavouring to force the growers to sell wool are entirely erroneous, their chief difficulty being that the overseas buyers are unable to remain in the country to attend the sales after April 16. An immediate commencement is being made with the sales.” A combined sale of the Wanganui and Wellington offering will be held in Wanganui on March 3, followed by Napier and Christchurch.
