Trivalve at the Stud In a glowing reference to Trivalve, who was relegated to the stud at four years old, and whose initial progeny are included in last season’s list of foals, “Chiron,” writing in “The Australasian,” remarks: “With his rich chestnut coat and silver mane and tail, Trivalve recalls memories of old Trafalgar, but he is a much deeperbodied horse than was the great son of Wallace. Trivalve is not a big horse if you measure him by height, as he is probably a shade under 16 hands, but he is a tremendously powerful individual, and is full of character.”
