The market is very firm and the demand is active. New Zealand Mutton. —Prime North Island, 481 b to 561 b, 7£d; 561 b to 641 b, 7id; G4lb to 721 b, 6£d; 481 b to 641 b, 5Jd. The market is very firm and the demand continues. Australian Lamb.—Good average quality, 281 b to 361 b, 9 5-8 d; 361 b to 421 b, 9 5-8 d; fair average quality/ 281 b to 361 b, 8d; third quality, 74d. The market is firm and the demand is active. Australian Mutton. —Good average quality, 401 b to 601 b, 6d; fair average quality, 301 b to 551 b, sgd; ewes, sid. The market is firm and the demand is better. Beef.—New Zealand prime ox, hinds, 7d; fores, 54d; Argentine, chilled hinds, 7id: fores, 5Jd. The market for New Zealand beef is very firm and the demand is active. Pork.—English pork, 801 b to 1001 b, 12d; New Zealand porkers, 801 b to 1001 b, lid; 1001 b to 1201 b, lOid. The market for New Zealand pork is very firm. The demand is better owing to cold weather.
