ALTERATION TO FINANCES
FARMERS’ FREEZING CO.
About one-third of the total capital of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company, Limited, will shortly be held by dairy companies. At a special meeting held yesterday, shareholders confirmed a decision made at a special meeting last month to amend the articles of association so that the dairy companies might subscribe sufficient capital to provide further storage accommodation at the King’s Wharf works equal to 100,000 boxes of butter, together with the necessary facilities. Under the new arrangement the dairy companies will hold more than £IOO,OOO of the share capital. The new shares will be allotted at once, and the New Zealand Dairy Company will then be entitled to appoint one director, and the other dairy companies, jointly, will have a similar right. In 1932 these other companies ■will be entitled to appoint a second director. At present all the dairy companies are represented by one director.
