AN OSLER FOR OXFORD

Oxford University, which chose six South Africans, including W. P. Rousseau, for its Rugby team against Cambridge, will be able, next season, to call upon Stanley Osier. This Osier is a Western Province centre - threequarter who played for South Africa against New Zealand in the first test in 1928, and is a younger brother of Bennie Osier, the famous Springbok fly-half. Stanley Oslei, who has been awarded a Rhodes scholarship at Oxford for 1930, will make an ideal partner for W. P. Rousseau. He strained a leg muscle at Johannesburg last year and has made only spasmodic appearances since, but it is hoped that a long rest will rectify the trouble.
