While it was impossible to alter the first day of the trots, an ap. plication was immediately made to change the second day from Monday to Wednesday, and permission has
been granted for this procedure. The Otahuhu Club, in making- this sacrifice, acted with the idea of assisting the cricket promoters, and the public will not be slow to recognise the sporting spirit which prompted PresU dent Mackenzie and his officials. The public can see the last day of the cricket match, which will probably be the main issue of the test, and it can keep Wednesday clear for the trotting fixture. The Otahuhu Club is to be warmly complimented on showing such a, fine sporting spirit.
