RAILWAY EXCURSIONS
SEVERAL NEXT SUNDAY FAST TRAIN FOR HAMILTON An excursion from Te Kuiti to Mount Maunganui is to be run by the. Railway Department on Sunday next. Leaving Te Kuiti at 6.10 a.m., the train will call at intermediate stations, reaching The Mount shortly before noon. The return journey will be begun at 5.25 p.m., and passengers will arrive back in Te Kuiti at 11.21 p.m. Excursion tickets, which will be available for this train only and will not permit a break of journey, will be issued to Waihi, Tauranga and to Mount Maunganui. Refreshments will be available at Frankton, Paeroa and Tauranga. The usual Sunday excursion train to Hamilton from Auckland has proved so popular of late that the Department has decided to run an additional train each Sundajd This will leave at 8.47 a.m., stopping only at Newmarket, Mercer and Frankton Junction, leaving on the return journey at 6 p.m. On Sunday next there will be a combined rail and steamer excursion to the picnic grounds on the Waikato River, 20 miles north of Mercer.
