CONSUMPTION INCREASE

British Official Wireless RUGBY, Wednesday. Mr. J. H. Thomas, Minister in charge of Unemployment, yesterday met the representatives of the Canadian wheat pool and the Association of Millers of Britain to continue their discussions on the development of wheat shipments from Canada in order to facilitate the shipment of coal and other products from the United Kingdom. The millers indicated their readiness to increase their purchases of Canadian wheat, which enabled them to use a higher proportion of homegrown wheat. The Canadians expressed satisfaction with the declaration of the association that British millers wanted to use Canadian wheat and that at suitable prices they would willingly increase their purchases of it.
