KEEN COMPETITION DISCLOSED SYDNEY, Thursday. At the Sydney wool sales today the •fferings totalled 5.502 bales, of which 8.072 were sold, also 1,186 privately. There was a very active market, and animated Japanese and Continental competition, with good support from Yorkshire. Prices continued to show a firming tendency at the best point of the week. Greasy Merino sold to 30d.
