Sir George Fowlds returned from Wellington by the Limited express this morning. The Hon. C J. Carrington, M.L.C., returned from Wellington by the Limited today. The Hon. J. B. Lonald, Minister of Industries and Commerce, is at present in Wellington. Mr. F. Waite. M.P. for Clutha. was a passenger to Hamilton by the Limited express this morning. Dr. B. Tracy Inglis and Dr. W. H. Tarltes have been attending the Medical Conference in Christchurch. Mr. W. S. Lambe, of Sydney, returned to Auckland yesterday after fishing at Tokaanu, and is staying at the Hotel Stonehurst. Mr. William Ley, of Australia, is at present in Auckland to meet the Empire farmers. He is staying at the Royal Hotel. Xr. Harry P. Muller, of Wellington, general manager for J. C. Williamson in Now Zealand, is staying at the Albert Hotel. Mr. H. C. Thomas, general manager for Metro-Goldwyn Films, Ltd., in New Zealand, arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Messrs. H. G. R. Mason, W. J. Jordan, W. E. Parry and M. J. Savage, M.P.’s, returned from a conference of the Labour Party in Wellington by the Limited today. Mr. J. R. Kirk, M.8.E., ex-Mayor of Gisborne, will be a passenger to England by the Rangitane at the end of this month, and in view of this lias resigned from the Council of Education, of which he has been a member since its inception about 15 years ago; from the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, from the Gisborne High School Board, and from the New Zealand Education Association, of which he was vice-president.
