SWIMMING AT WANGANUI Press Association WANGANUI, Today. At the Wanganui disti-iet swimming championship last evening, L. Smith, of the Gonville Club, the present New Zealand champion breaststroke swimmer and record holder, .was successful in lowering his New Zealand record of 3min 4sec for 220vds by 2sec. Smith had no assistance from his opponents and swam very easily. He received a great ovation.
