ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS
SATURDAY’S RACES ON WHAU Saturday next will be Auckland’s big rowing day, when, for the second time, the provincial championships will be rowed on,the Wliau River. The first race will begin at 1.30 p.m. Entries are good ancl a high standard of rowing should result in an excellent clay’s sport. Five crews have entered in the senior class. Buses will leave town at frequent intervals after 12.15 p.m. and a feeder service will also be run from tli© railway station at Avondale. The admission for adults is Is, ancl children under 3 2 will be admitted free.
