REV. N. TURNER DEAD

FORMERLY IN AUCKLAND Press Association * CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The death occurred in Christchurch yesterday of the Rev. N. Turner, aged 70, of the Methodist Church. Mr. Turner was formerly of Auckland. Mr. Nicholas Turner was an earnest evangelical preacher who gave excellent service as a missioner in Auckland and in Christchurch. He accompanied Dr. Chapman and Mr. Alexander in the capacity of secretary during their mission tour through Europe and America. He leaves a wife and an adult family. After three years’ service with the Christchurch Mission, beginning in 1909, Mr. Turner was with the Auckland Mission for a similar period. From 1915 onward, he gave service in Gore.. Christchurch, Wanganui, Johnsonville and Woodville. In 1922. he retired from the ministry and entered business in Christchurch.
