WHEAT DROPS
United P.A. —By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 9 a.m. ' WINNIPEG, Wed. Reacting violently to suggestions in a special dispatch from London that the Canadian wheat pool officials are returning from London disappointed after* failure to reach any agreement with the British Government, Avheat slumped to the bottom levels for the year today. A few minutes before the close of the market the drop was 6* cents off the previous levels, but the closingprice was 4 4 to 2£ cents off. Closing prices were: —May, 1 dollar 16 5-8 cents a bushel; July, 1 dollar IS 5-8 cents a bushel; October, 1 dollar 21 cents a bushel.
