BRITISH OFFICER’S DEATH IN NIGERIA attacked by tribesmen British Official Wireless RUGBY, Monday. The Under-Secretary for the Colonies. Mr. W. Lunn, confirms the report that Mr. Christopher Barlow, an administrative officer of the Nigerian Political Office, died on February 9 from injuries received in an attack oy tribesmen in the Shendan* Division the Northern Provinces. His death wa * due to the fracture of his skull, caused by a stone. There was no connection between «his occurrence and the disturbances in the Southern Provinces last December.
