“MEAN THEFT”
MONEY STOLEN FROM ROOM-MATE YOUNG MAN IN COURT Press Association BLENHEIM, Today. “Rather a mean theft,” was Sergeant Patterson's description of an offence by Ernest Robert Murray, "ho pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing £7 from Wesley John Cowin a t Spring Creek. Murray was a ward of the State and had stolen the money from his room-mate. The magistrate sentenced accused to two years’ reformative detention.
