STRAIGHTENING THE LINE.—-When the Papakura train was being shunted in the railway yards yesterday the bogies and driving wheels each took a different track. Although little damage was done it took some time to right the track.
PROM THE SMILES ON THE PLATFORM, Mr. E. J. Howard, M.P., who is addressing the gathering at the open* ing of the addition to House, Christchurch, is in a happy mood. On the platform with him are Bishop Whyte, of Dunedin, and Bishop Liston, of Auckland, and the Mayor of Christchurch.
