£lO FINE IMPOSED Prom Our Own C'orrespondent HAMILTON, Today. Another client of Harry Abraham bamuels, Hamilton, the bookmaker who was recently fined £3OO, was charged in the Police Court before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., today, with betting with a bookmaker. Defendant, Edwin Roberts Rowe, billiards-saloon proprietor, Matamata, did not appear. Detective White explained that the case was not taken with the other 15, some days ago, owing to confusion regarding file name on the charge sheet. The detective then gave evidence showing that betting material found in the raid on Samuels’s shop revealed that defendant had laid bets with a bookmaker. A fine of £lO, with costs 10s, was imposed.
