Mr. O. N Gillespie, of Wellington, arrived by the Limited today. The Rev, W. Reidy was a passenger from Sydney by the Ulimaroa this morning. Mr. H. G. Dickie. M.P. for Patea, was a passenger to Frankton by the Limited today. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Martin and Mr. Ross Martin have left for a fortnight's fishing at Cape Brett. Mr. W. J. Poison. M.P. for Stratford. arrived in Auckland by the Unnted express this morning. Brigadier-General Arthur Slade Baker. C.M.G.. of Sussex, England, who is at present visiting New Zealand, is staying at the Albert Hotel. Mr. J. Kermack, assistant Superintendent of Agriculture in Fiji, arrived in Auckland last evening by the Tofua. He was accompanied by Mrs. Kermack. Mr. A. C. Hargrove, a director of the Nestle and Anglo Swiss Milk Company, arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa this morning. He is on his way to England. Mr. H. Hart Lewis, a well-known solicitor of Suva, Fiji, arrived in Auckland last evening by the Tofua. He is the guest of Mr. R. A. Singer, Grafton Road. Colonel S. H. Charrington, of Kenya, and Mr. C. Stewart, of Singapore, returned to Auckland yesterday after a fishing expedition in the Bay of islands. They are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. F. E. Bryant, ex-manager of the Vn-on Bank of Australia in Christchurch, now resident in Sydney, arrived by the Ulimaroa this morning. He will spend a holiday in Rotorua. Mr. R. C. Addison, inspector in New Zealand for the Bunk of New South Wales, accompanied bv Mrs. Addison and Miss Addison, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Hotel Stonehurst. Mr. Christopher Smith, bandmaster of the Auckland Municipal Band, leaves for the South this evening on his way to Dunedin, where he is to adjudicate the championship band contest, which begins on Saturday. Mr. R. D. Anstead, Director of Agriculture in Madras. India, and Mrs. Anstead, arrived by the Tofua yesterday after a holiday visit to the Islands. They leave Wellington by the Rotorua on March 18 for England. Mr. Alfred Hill, the distinguished Mew Zealand composer, arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa this morning. He will join Mr. Alexander Mark? at Taupo, and will compose special music for a film of the Maopi race, which is being made there. Mr. W. Toyman, of Geelong, a: rived hy the Ulimaroa this morning. Mr. W. Leyman recently made a trip to England with a party of Australian farmers, and is a member of the British National Union, During his visit to England he made the acquaintance of many English farmers, some of whom will be arriving here shortly with the English party.
