GEYSER AT NEW LYNN
WATER MAIN BLOWS OUT A 30-foot geyser caused through the failure of lead jointing in the City Council’s 27-inch water main at New Lynn interrupted traffic on the main north road yesterday afternoon. The blow-out, which was spectacular, occurred opposite the house of Mr. C. F. Gardner, Mayor of New Lynn. The city waterworks department repaired the failure after emptying the pipe, the water being turned on again bj' four o’clock.
