■ PRUNE AND NUT JELLY * jjj lib of prunes , g oo* of nuts of any kind , 3 02 j* __ of sugar, one lemon, §O2 of SS H gelatine, one pint of water. Wash jjjg n the prunes and soak them overyj night in a pint of cold water. Put 5:-: them into a pan in the water in B| which they were soaked and stew - g gently until soft. Strain off the P == liquid, add the sugar and gelatine jj|j P to it, and stir over very low heal y. g until they are dissolved, remove H g from the fire, stone and halve the §8 P prunes, blanch and chop the nuts, & a; and add both to the gelatine mixy ture. Strain in the juice of the ® =3 lemon. Mix well, and when cold, jg 9 again stir, then pour into one large g g or several small moulds, rinsed out P = in cold water. Turn out when set fg ™ and serve with cream or custard. jy
