WAIKATO CABLES TO LORD BLEDISLOE ASKED TO OPEN SHOW From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. In order to make sure its claims will not be jumped, tlie executive of the Waikato Winter Show Association decided today to cable to Lord Bledisloe, now en route to New Zealand, asking him to open this year’s show. Tribute was paid by members to the up-to-date and businesslike methods of the secretary, Mr. W. H. Paul. w r hose publicity had resulted in the show being known throughout the length and breadth of the Dominion. Mr. J. R. Fow, the president of the show, said Mr. Paul brought originality to his work -with each year of progress.

A motion congratulating the secretary was carried unanimously. A committee whs appointed to associate the show in some way with the centenary of Auckland Province, which falls this year. Members spoke warmly of the value of the Government exhibits and support, and decided to urge the Government to make its displays as comprehensive as ever this year.
