NEW ZEALANDER’S RECORD Press Association DUNEDIN. Sunday. At the Tokomaririro sports meeting yesterday J. G. Leckie, present holder of the Otago record in .throwing the hammer, beat his previous record by 3ft. I-Ie threw the hammer 3 51ft 6in. This constitutes the greatest throMregistered by a New Zealander, although it does not equal the Xew Zealand record of 169 ft. which is held by an American named Xlerchant.
