MUNICIPAL MUSIC
PROGRAMMt BY BAND
An enjoyable programme of band music was provided by the Municipal Band at Zoological Park yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance of the public and the programme was warmly applauded. The items included Ketelby’s “Sanctuary of the Heart,’* Myddleton’s “Phantom Brigade,** Ord Hume’s “Dawn of Peace,” “Dead Kindly Light,” “Madame Pompadour” selection, "The Iron Duke.” and “The Cavalry of the Clouds.”
Another very enjoyable programme was also given a tAlbert Park in the evening. A special feature of this programme was an interesting composition entitled "The Shoe,” in which an interpretation was given of the ideas suggeseted by a sabot, a court *hot and a brogue. Renelle’s stirring "Marche des Moujiks,” the “Raymond” overture, “Rouge et Noir,” Handel’s "Largo” and Ord Hume's selection of Popular songs were also given.
“Marco Himself,” a new Paramount all-talking comedy eo-featuring Jack Oakie and Richard “Skeets” Gallagher, has gone into production at the Hollywood studios. “Marco Himself” was adapted from the story by Octavus Roy Cohen.
