HARVEST THANKSGIVING
METHODIST CHURCHES MANY PEOPLE ATTEND Services in thanksgiving for the harvest were held in the Methodist churches yesterday. Large congregations were present in the city and suburban churches. The preacher at the morning and evening service at Pitt Street was the minister, the Rev. W. Walker. Appropriate music was sung by the choir. At the Kingsland church, the Rev. T- R- B. Woolloxall was the preacher. At Eden Terrace church, Mrs. Sussex spoke in the morning, and the Rev. H. H. Jeffreys in the evening. The Rev. W. Rowe preached both times at the Dominion Road church, and the Rev. H. H. Jeffreys and Mr. S. E. Chappell conducted the services at Mount Roskill. The mission band No. 2 played at the Edendale church in the morning. The sermon in the evening was preached by Mr. R. T. Sando.
