LINDRUM GOES FROM TRIUMPH TO TRIUMPH IN ENGLISH BILLIARDS
In his last two matches, Walter Lindrum has established the highest aggregates ever made for a fortnight’s billiards. He scored 29,056 against Davis and topped the 30,000 mark, against Smith. Davis is the English champion, and after Lindrum’s victories over Smith there was a feeling in England that Davis, as the nominal champion, might succeed where Smith failed. Lindrum, however, was on his mettle and, taking no risks, he clearly showed that he was Davis’s superior, winning by a margin of nearly 3,000 points. Davis played remarkably well, notwithstanding. and a match between him and Smith v/ould be most interesting.
