SERIOUS CHARGES
YOUNG MAN BEFORE COURT From Our Own Correspondent WAIHI, Today. A charge of having illegal carnal knowledge of a girl aged 15 years and two months, at Waihi. on January 24, was preferred against Thomas Ivan Lloyd, single. 28, in the Police Court before Mr. W. E. Busch, J.P., this morning. Accused was also charged with indecently assaulting the same girl. On the application of Sergeant D. L. Calwell, Lloyd was remanded till I next Friday. Bail in one sum of i £ 100, with one surety of like amount, I was allowed.
