THREE MEN FINED £BO Press Association ASHBURTON, Friday. Three men appeared in the Magistrate s Court today on charges in connection with the illegal sale of liquor Roland T. Bailey and Frederick Charles Price were fined £lO each for selling without a licence. Nelson Raynor Bushell and Price were jointly charged as being parties to the sale as occupiers of. the premises. The* R>rmer was fined £35. and the latter 3J JO. The defence was that accused were agents for a brewery, and were not aware that it was a breach of the Act to hand liquor to purchasers or orderers. The agency Ivas conducted m conjunction with a tobacconist’s business.
