PUBLIC SERVICE GRANTS

SUPERANNUATION BOARD Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. The Public Service Superannuation Board held its quarterly meeting in Wellington yesterday. Mr. J. W. MacDonald presided. Twenty-five contributors, who have retired by reason of age or length of service, were granted allowances totalling £6,063 a year, and four contributors, retired as being medically unfit, were granted allowances totalling £528 a year. An application for an additional allowance on account of retirement through injuries received while on police duty was refused. Fifteen widows and five children were granted the statutory allowances, amounting to £595 a year. Severe! applicants for the inclusion of broken service for superannuation were' dealt with, and committees were appointed for the ensuing year.
