POSTAL APPEALS
EVIDENCE COMPLETED YESTERDAY DECISON AT LATER DATE The Post and Telegraph Appeal Board completed the hearing of evidence yesterday in the appeal of six members of the telegraph staff of the Auckland Post Office against their recent dismissal after a departmental inquiry. The board has yet to meet to come to its decision, which will be forwarded at a later date to the appellants and to the department.
Mr. E. C. .Cutten, S.M., presided over the inquiry, which commenced on Thursday and was not open to the Press or the-public. The Post and Telegraph Department was represented by Mr. V. R. Meredith. Crown Solicitor in Auckland, while Mr. C. A. L. Treadwell, of Wellington, and Mr. P. Hunt, appeared for the Post and Telegraph Association and. the appellants, . .
