STRUCK BY RACKET

WOMAN’S TEETH KNOCKED OUT From Our Own Cort'espondent TE KUITI, Friday. An unusual accident befell Miss Wilma Barr at Te Kuiti on Thursday, as a result of which she lost four front teeth. Miss Barr, with other tennis players, was leaving the courts, when a young man carrying a tennis racket immediately in front of her suddenly slipped. In attempting to recover his balance, he raised his hand suddenly, striking Miss Barr a sharp blow on the mouth with the tennis racket. The force of the impact dislodged two of her front top teeth, and split two others, which had to be removed by a dentist. Miss Barr also suffered injury to the nose.
