“LOMBARDI, LTD.”
FROCKS AND HUMOUR Gorgeous frocks and continuous humour are delightfully wedded in “Lombardi, Ltd.”, which attracted another big house at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening. Leo Carrillo, as the famous New York dress designer, has a wonderful part, and the speed of his conversation is excelled only by the laughs which accompany it. Barbara Luddy, a cute little American, gives a most amusing performance. Miss Cullen Landis is a model whose ability as a gum-chewer makes her famous. Leslie Victor gives one of his admirable character studies, and Natalie Moya is sweetness itself among a throng of amusing people. Maidie Hope, Lima Gibbs and Brandon Peters are also prominent in the cast. “Lombardi, Ltd.” has also another attraction—a mannequin parade which delights the heart of every woman in the audience. The comedy will run for several more nights.
