POLITICS SEEKS ALLIANCE WITH WORKERS
PATHWAY TO POWER United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 10.30 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The Australian Labour Party conference adopted a resolution in favour of union with the Workers’ Union before the next State elections. A member of the executive declared that until this was done Labour was unlikely to secure control of the Government. The Labour Council is organising a march on the State Parliament on February 19 as a protest on behalf of the unemployed. Trades Hall officials are to lead the unemployed men, apd Mr. ,1. H. Lang is to head the Labour members of the Asisembly. A suggestion has also been made that a one-day strike should be declared by all workers on that date.
