Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato, with his family, sails by the Manama today for England. where he will attend the Lambeth Conference. M.v. L. T. Cobcroft and Mr. K. l-£. Cave, who are to act as umpires in .the final cricket test between M.C.C. and New Zealand, and Mr. S. Brice, li&ve arrived in Auckland. Mr. A. T. Donnelly, chairman of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council, has arrived in -Auckland to attend the test cricket match. He is staying at Hotel Cargen. Mr. W. H. Winsor. Christchurch, honorary secretary of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council, is staying at the Royal Hotel. He will later attend the builders’ conference. Commissioner R- Wilson. 0.8. E., of the Salvation Army headquarters, is expected in Wellington, about February 24. General Higgins, who was to accompany him, has been delayed in England. The Hon. Sir Apirana Ngata, Minister of Native Affairs, intends visiting Kawhia on Monday. The Minister, who is continuing his investigation in regard to Maori lands, will return to Te Kuiti on Wednesday evening. Mr. B. C. Housley, assistant district traffic manager of the Railways Department at Auckland, has left for Wanganui, where he will relieve Mr. P. T». Hartland. district traffic manager Wanganui. Mr. Housley's position at Auckland is being temporarily filled by Mr. H. C. Couch. Mr. Brinkman, sub-manager in the Auckland office of the Bank of New Zealand, will leavo at the end of next week to take up the position of actingmanager in Dannevirke for six months during the absence of Mr. R.
