PROMISING BANTAM
LONDON PRIZEWINNER Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. A former schoolboy champion, Johnny Peters, won the Stadium Club’s £250 bantam competition. Thirtytwo boxers participated. Peters leaves for Australia this morning. Peters is classed as a rising bantam from a London suburb, Battersea. He earned a place on the Stribling-Car-nera bill in London, and was there voted the most brilliant boxer on the card. He is coming to Australia with a team under Charlie Lucas, a promoter.
