TOWN CLERK RESIGNS
MORRINSVILLE OFFICIAL From Our Own Correspondent MORRINSVILLE, Today. The resignation of the town clerk, Mr. C. H. McKay, was received and accepted with regret at last evening’s meeting of the Borough Council. The clerk said he had purchased a legal practice at Queenstown and asked to be relieved of his duties at the end of March. During his nine years as clerk his relations with all councils had been most harmonious, and the consideration shown to him had made his work more of a pleasure. The Mayor and councillors made brief appreciative references to the good work of the clerk, saying they would reserve further remarks till a later function. At a meeting of the committee of the A. and P. Society, of which Mr. McKay has been secretary for nine years, his resignation was accepted with regret. The president and two past-presi-dents referred to the efficient way Mr. McKay had carried out his duties, practically since the formation of the society. Both bodies decided to call applications for the vacant positions.
