DANCING COMPETITIONS

The dancing competitions conducted by the National Highland Dancing Society at Luna Park last evening, attracted a large crowd. The results are as follow: Spanish dance (under 13): Joy Lodder, 1; Gladys Cain, 2; Patricia Boyle, 3. Spanish dance (under 17)Joy Simon, 1; Kathleen Boyle, 2; Eileen Long. 3. Operatic dance funder 13): Gladys Cain, 1: p. Bovle. 2: Hazel Bovarrd, 3. Operatic dance funder 37): K. Boyle. X: u. Cain, 2; P. Boyle and J. Simon (equal). A comprehensive programme will be staged ibis evening and will include Irish jigs, Irish hornpipes and sailors’ hornpipes. The Highland Pipe Band will attend and the "joy machines’’ will be in full swing.
