TO MEET BILL HERBERT The cinder-track racing at Western Springs Speedway tomorrow evening should make records. It is expected that times will be. broken and new records set and that the attendance will also be a record. The appearance of Miss Fay Taylour, the English woman rider, is bound to prove a big draw to the public, for a woman who can compete with men in such a daring sport as broadsiding is well worth seeing. In Wellington she did a lap in 20 l-ssec, a time which betters Pearce’s Auckland record by 3-Gsec. She will compete tomorrow’ evening against Bill Herbert, of Otahuhu. * In addition, tho three Australians, Mann, Perkins and Datson will be seen in action against one another and against the leading Auckland riders.
