ROTORUA CROQUET
KEEN COMPETITION DISPLAYED From Our Own Correspondent ROTORUA, Thursday. Interest is increasing in the efforts of tlie Rotorua Croquet Club to entertain visitors during the period of the bowling.tournaments. About 50 competitors are busily applying themselves to the numerous competitions arranged. On Monday afternoon the following were successful: Ladder croquet: Mr. Purser. Putting: Mrs. Hogan and Mrs. Parata (equal), the latter winning the playoff. Circle croquet: Mrs. Jenkjn. Target croquet: Mrs. Coutts. Progressive: A. section, Mrs. Burrett; E. section, Mrs. Barry. Yesterday competitions were won as follow**:— One ball break, Mrs. Brighting. Ladder: Mr. Worthington. Putting (golf): Mrs. Dyson. Target: Mrs Richards. Progressive: A section. Mrs Barry; B section. Mrs. F. Adamson Circle: Mrs. Jenkin. Due to the careful attention of Mr Heskeih and his staff overnight, the lawns were in perfect condition.
