HOUSE BURNED DOWN
OUTBREAK AT MANGERE
A fir© which broke out at Mange re yesterday afternoon completely destroyed a five-roomed house occupi* d by Mr. William Lynn. At the time of the outbreak the occupants wen l away at a picnic. The absence of a supply made it impossible to stop the progress of the flames. All the furniture was destroyed, making Mr. Lynn 8 heavy loser, as it was not insured. The house, whic li is owned by Mr. Takarau, is covered by an insurance policy for £640.
