REFORM PARTY BUSY

MEETING IN HAURAKI Well attended meetings of Reform Party supporters were held yesterday in the Hauraki electorate, when the leader of the party, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P. for Thames, Mr. J. X. Massej', M.P. for Franklin, and Mr. A. W. Hall, M.P, for Hauraki, were the speakers. Associated with them on the platform were several prominent residents. The meetings, held at Fokeno, Te Kauwlmta and Otoliuliu, were exceptionally well attended and considerable enthusiasm was displayed. The principles and aims of the league and the work of the organisation were dealt with by the speakers. The activities of the party in the present and previous Parliaments were discussed and many offers of voluntary assistance were made for the purpose of furthering the objects of the league and securing party candidates at the next election. At each meeting those present unanimously approved the actions of the Reform Party and pledged themselves to support its candidates at the next election. Resolutions were also passed expressing the fullest appreciation and confidence in Mr. Coates as leader and promising him loyal and Avliolehearted support.
